Alongside my artistic career, I’ve been teaching for over twenty years through my course, Total Electric Guitar, dedicated to guitarists of all levels who want to develop a personal and conscious approach to the instrument. Within the program, great attention is given to melodic and rhythmic development, understood not only as technical practice but also as the ability to give shape and direction to the musical discourse. A central focus is placed on the musicality of phrasing: balancing pauses and accents, articulating ideas with dynamics and intention, and transforming the guitar into a means of personal expression.
The course also offers an in-depth study of the styles of the great improvisers and composers of rock, blues, funk and jazz, analyzing their unique languages while highlighting the common elements that connect them. This approach enables students to deeply understand the relationship between tradition and modernity, expanding their expressive palette and versatility. The ultimate goal is not simply to reproduce a repertoire, but to provide concrete tools for building a strong musical identity that can evolve and interact with a wide range of artistic contexts.
